Petrol price to drop by 69c a litre in December

The Department of Energy announces the amended fuel price each Friday prior to the first Wednesday of the month and motorists will once again see that price drop substantially.

From R13.20 in October it fell to R12.75 and will now drop to R12.06 per litre (coastal) from next Wednesday.

The latest 69c drop brings the total reduction to R1.77 since June, thanks primarily to the oil price dropping steadily since then.

Diesel will cost 53c less and LP gas 21c less per litre.
