Gauteng Premier David Makhura unveiled 82 new ambulances at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto.
Xolani Gwala on Monday spoke to Steve Mabona, the Gauteng health spokesperson about the impact that the new ambulances will have in the province.
We are reducing the waiting period, as you will know that the MEC when she launched her budget in June, she announced that we will have 160 ambulances under this financial year.— Steve Mabona, Gauteng Department of Health Spokesperson.
So, we are actually moving to make sure we have that figure. So we are launching 82 of those ambulances, the remainder will then be delivered in the next year still in this financial year.— Steve Mabona, Gauteng Health Spokesperson
...all those ambulances are well-equipped. There won't be ambulances that will go around in the province without the equipment. I can rest assure the members of the community that all of them are well-equipped.— Steve Mabona, Gauteng Department of Health Spokesperson.
