The Unite Against Corruption (UAC) March to the Nelson Mandela Bridge will take place as planned on Wednesday 16 December in Johannesburg.
The UAC campaign has called on the public to join human rights group, Section 27, and occupy the bridge from 10am.
Section27's Mark Heywood said that organisers were negotiating official approval from JMPD to gather peacefully on the iconic landmark.
Listen to the full conversation, with Sumitra Nydoo standing in, on the Midday Report:
According to Heywood, demonstrators will gather either directly on the bridge or at the slopes of the bridge.
The feeling of the gathering is no reconciliation with corruption and the call for President Zuma to resign or be removed by the ANC.— Mark Heywood, executive director of Section27
