Motshekga 'freezes' posts amid jobs-for-cash scandal

Basic education minister, Angie Motshekga, halts appointments of teacher posts in a swift move amid jobs for cash scandal.

Cape Talk's John Maytham spoke to EWN reporter, Mia Lindeque, regarding the interim report which contained the allegations.

The Basic Education Department has admitted that there are massive problems with the government system when appoiinting new teachers and principals.

The report reveals that some principals have to pay up to R50 000 for a post.
