Cape fires hit Imizamo Yethu for the second time in just six weeks

Multiple fires broke across the Peninsula over the Christmas weekend leaving at least hundreds of people homeless in Khayelitsha, Hout Bay and Mfuleni.

Natalie Malgas of the Eye Witness News says that residents of Imizamo Yethu could not believe that a second fire has ripped through the area in exactly six weeks.

We have been talking to some of the community members and they’ve been very thankful to the greater Cape Town community who donated blankets and toiletries
