Lance Brown: Creating opportunities and embracing challenges

Growing up in Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats, Lance Brown dared to reach for the stars. From a small seed of a basic job as a filing clerk and a delivery driver in his twenties, he discovered an aptitude for tax and a road to a brighter world.

He worked hard to complete a bachelors degree in Financial Management part-time through UNISA and is now a tax consultant for one of the world’s leading financial services firms.

Below is a talk he gave at a TEDx conference entitled “The Small Leap From Suspect to Success” and is an author of a book entitled, The Driver of Change.

Nothing beats perseverance, patience and most importantly, determination.
