Tributes pour in for veteran journalist Ian Crewe

The late Ian Crew helped to train generations of EWN reporters, and will be fondly remembered for his warmth and wicked sense of humour.

702 and CapeTalk presenter Koketso Sachane and EWN reporter Alex Eliseev shared some of the memories of working with Crewe.

Listen to the conversation below:

We are mourning a colleague at Primedia - Ian Crewe - somebody that has been quite a feature on Early Breakfast... many moments we shared, many funny moments we shared...

Koketso Sachane, 702/CapeTalk presenter

I remember one particular gentleman who would send SMSes from Lakeside, Cape Town, about things he'd want me to ask Ian... things that happened years before I was born

Koketso Sachane, 702/CapeTalk presenter

Other journalists, radio personalities and listeners also paid tribute to the veteran broadcaster on social media.
