According to Peter Montalto, an emerging markets economist, the ANC could face a potentially poor showing at next year’s local elections that could result in President Jacob Zuma being recalled.

However, political analyst Protas Madlala says that as much as some members would like to see that happening, there is some reluctance due to what transpired in Polokwane.
