Higher Education department looking into Theology degree scam

The Department of Higher Education is looking into legal avenues to take against 21 institutions issuing bogus Theology degress across the country.

702 and Cape Talk's Stephen Grootes spoke to department of higher education spokesperson, Khaye Nkwanyana, about 21 bogus institutions involved in issuing Theology degrees.

It can't be that we're having all these unaccountable institutions across the country.

As the department we need to regulate. You can't wake up tomorrow and set up your own institutions, the insitutions have to comply with government.
