ANCYL believes Barclays is to blame for the weak Rand

African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) is currently on a boycott of Barclays-run banks. Alongside the Progressive Youth Alliance (PYA), the league has reportedly expressed its concern about the economy, with claims that Barclays is largely to blame for the weak Rand.

Stephen Grootes spoke to ANC Youth League's Secretary-General, Njabulo Nzuza about why they believe that banks, particularly Barclays is to blame for the weak Rand.

It's not about the political environment, it's about capital making more money. Capital continues to abuse us.
