Pravin Gordhan: 'Outsiders are optimistic about SA'

Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is currently in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum with a delegation of ministers and private sector heavyweights. They are on a mission to convince investors that South Africa is open for business.

Gordhan on Thursday spoke to John Robbie about how the conference is going and what the international sentiment is about doing business with SA.

One of the challenges is that we see things in today's terms, instead of looking to what built up to where we are and what the consequences are for people on a household level.

Pravin Gordhan, Minister of Finance

There's a lot of optimism from outsiders who are watching us. We must match that.
