Eskom leaves five NC municipalities in the dark over debts

Eskom has announced that it will disconnect electricity supply to five municipalities in the Northern Cape for defaulting on payment plans.

The municipalities are Magareng, Ubuntu, Thembelihle, Dikgatlong and Renosterberg.

Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe on Friday said that the municipalities had reneged on the agreements they had with the power utility.
