Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says the proposed National Health Insurance (NHI) will make provisions for both private and public healthcare options.
Motsoaledi explained that South African patients will be able to use healthcare facilities that have been accredited by the department, and that meet the NHI criteria.
If facilities have been accredited and have met price agreements, patients can choose where to go.— Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Health
