Mbeki's attempt to rewrite history is silly, says Ndumiso Ngcobo

Author and columnist Ndumiso Ngcobo says the letters by Thabo Mbeki are a lame attempt at correcting historical facts.

702's Azania Mosaka on Monday spoke to the columnist about him the series of letters that has South Africans talking.

Listen to the interview below:

I thoroughly enjoyed his letters when he was president when he would quote Shakespeare and Yeats. I'm just not sure why he's writing these letters now.

Ndumiso Ngcobo, author and columnist

I always say I cannot wait for President Thabo Mbeki to write his memoir... You're not writing to correct any misconceptions with a memoir.

Ndumiso Ngcobo, author and columnist

All I remember about Kgalema Motlanthe is that he had this completely black hair and a grey beard.

Ndumiso Ngcobo, author and columnist

Why must he get special dispensation to be that guy who comes back and tries to fix things?
