Watch: Public Protector's powers under scrutiny

Proceedings are underway in the Constitutional Court hearing which is set to clarify the powers of the Public Protector.

The hearing comes after President Jacob Zuma offered to pay back some of the money used for upgrades at his Nkandla homestead.

The EFF and the DA argue that the issue is not about the money, but clarity on whether the Public Protector's recommendations are binding.
