Tourists to SA no longer need unabriged birth certificates for children - Gigaba

An announcement made by the Home Affairs Department around June this year meant an additional barrier on parents travelling with children into South Africa. This decision has been reversed after Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba had various meetings with the Tourism Department and related stakeholders. SA Tourism Services Association CEO David Frost has also expressed relief over this decision, due to implications for the industry - a big contributor to the country's overall GDP.
