African Leadership University to produce world-class graduates

Fred Swaniker is spearheading a new way of learning through the African Leadership University.

The university will produce graduates with world-class qualifications and skills, with plans to establish 25 campuses across Africa - the first campus has opened in Mauritius..

702's John Robbie on spoke to Swaniker on his ambitions to expand with 25 universities across the continent.

About 25 million students finish matric every year, and universities can only take 4 million of them... We need to expand the number of universities we have.

The graduates that we produce have the skills that employers are looking for, and will also be able to create jobs as entrepreneurs because we can't produce unemployed graduates.
