Phase two of the M1 Highway rehabilitation project started on Saturday between Killarney and the Crown interchange, causing a bottleneck as only two lanes remain open.
It will take motorist much longer to travel on the M1 and they have been warned that alternative routes will also experience more volume and traffic pressure.
EWN Traffic reporter Aki Anastasiou has appealed to employers to be more flexible with their work hours and make use of technology, such as video conferencing, in order to conduct meetings more effectively.
