The Friday Stand-In 2016

Nomboniso Gasa takes a second bite at #FridayStandIn

Nomboniso Gasa is a researcher, analyst and freelance writer on gender, political and cultural issues.

Gasa has published scholarly works on gender and politics. She is The Star newspaper's contributing editor, and also writes for various other newspapers.

From the age of 14, when she was first detained without trial, Gasa has been involved in the national liberation and struggle for women's emancipation.

Gasa is in the hot seat for the second time, as the #FridayStandIn host of the Redi Tlhabi Show.

On her previous show she had a heated discussion with the Rhodes Must Fall activist, Wanelisa Xaba, about the movement.

But this time Gasa says her show will look at the role of women in history and today, land and property.
