Jeppestown Police Station Brigadier Govindsamy Mariemuthoo has been on leave for 156 days in the space of just two years.
Labour law expert Ndumiso Voyi explained that Mariemuthoo took several types of leave over the period of time.
According to Voyi, 64 of the days Mariemuthoo took off were for incapacity leave due to a knee injury.
