Gordhan vs Ntlemeza: Who's on the right side of the law?

The ongoing war of words between Minister Pravin Gordhan and the Hawks have raised questions regarding the stability of the country as the rand plummets to an all time low.

702/Cape Talk's Redi Tlhabi gave listeners an opportunity to share their thoughts regarding the issue.

Listen to the conversation below:

I'd like to believe the conscience that was within the old ANC under Mandela and Mbeki is starting to be stirred. The time is now or never.

Seth, caller in Franschoek

All of a sudden, they [Hawks] are talking about arresting him [Pravin] and it just seems bizarre that they've let this situation get out of hand.

Peter, caller in Fourways

There is a minister who the president doesn't want. It is in his interest for the rand to be as low as possible and they acquire assets cheaply. They are assembling a massive conglomerate via Guptas and others.

Richard, caller in Parktown

There is no way that anybody in their right mind will allow our economy to fall while not saying anything against the Hawks who are fighting the only person who stands between us and the downgrade.

Grant, caller in Brackenfell
