'I have no political office aspirations' - Thuli Madonsela

Public Protector of South Africa, Thuli Madonsela has reacted to yesterday's seminal Constitutional Court ruling, saying it vindicated her and it reaffirmed the powers of her office.

In her term in office, she has certainly been influential in some of the most crucial investigations - with the Nkandla report being one of her most powerful successes.

Speaking to John Robbie this morning, Madonsela said that despite the resistance and insults she received along the way, she never felt like resigning. 'The more they resisted them more I believed I was in the right place', she said.
