Lira's 'Born Free' album reveals a powerful and inspirational vision

Musician, Lira, has established a distinct sound and taken the road less travelled in her newest album titled, 'Born Free'.

Lira launched the album on itunes and will launch the album with a performance at the Lyric Theatre over the weekend.

702's Azania Mosaka spoke to singer, Lira, about the release of her new album, titled 'Born Free, and growing her brand on an international stage.

It's always been my intention to have something that sets me apart and I'm very excited with this particular album because I took it to the world.

Lira, musician

It's quite a milestone in my career...so it made more sense for me to go independent on this project.

Lira, musician

Lira was recently named an ambassador for premium whisky, Johnny Walker, and international make-up brand, Bobby Brown.

I seem to be attracting brands that are aligned with my values. It feels like a natural progression and they give me a platform to do more of what I love.

Lira, musician

I'm a fan of living your own life by your own design, being conscious of who you are and what you've come here to offer.
