Rand Water, which supplies to us, they are having a new pipe they are installing into the reservoir.

Hilgard Matthews, Joburg Water executive manager

It's a temporary discomfort because this is a new pipe that supplies more water at a consistent rate. Quite a few areas are affected.

Parts of Cosmo City, Northriding, Olivedale, Honeydew, Zandspruit, Lanseria, Northgate, Bloubosrand, Kya Sand, Mogale City, Itsoseng and Malatjie are affected by the water outage.
