Taste Holdings finally opened up its first Starbucks store in Rosebank, Johannesburg on Thursday morning - and its receiving rave reviews.
A second branch is due to open next at the Mall of Africa in Midrand, and 150 coffee chains are expected to be built in the next year alone.
Advertising expert, Andy Rice says that the local fascination with Starbucks, and other American chains, is because of their brand popularity.
