Africa loses at least $80bn from illegal movements of money - Mbeki Foundation
Former President Thabo Mbeki has held a media briefing on a number of issues including the state of governance, illicit financial flows and the arms deal report.
According to EWN's Govan Whittles, the Thabo Mbeki Foundation says Africa loses over 80 billion US dollars through illicit financial flows.
Regarding the Seriti Commission, Mbeki has supported the arms deal report findings and says that corruption claims have not been substantiated.
He believes that the claims of the commission being a whitewash are driven by the same people who didn't accept the previous findings; essentially saying that he agrees that there was no corruption.Govan Whittles, EWN reporter
