Bush says parents need to provide enough experiences, as well as a conducive environment for children to be able to experiment, in order to realise their strengths and weaknesses.

She says children who grow up living their parents expectations, even if they excel, could grow up with a large degree of resentment and anger which may emerge later in adulthood.

Nikki Bush - Parenting expert
