Money Matters: More South Africans getting debt counselling

More South Africans are seeking debt counselling as a way to try and reduce their debt.

According to the National Credit Regulator (NCR), nearly 24 million South Africans are credit active. Ten million of them are in arrears on their accounts or are struggling to pay their monthly debt repayments.

On #NightTalk, Gugs Mhlungu and Sizwe Dhlomo spoke to Magauta Mphahlele, CEO of the National Debt Mediation Association, about debt counselling and the best options for South Africans to pay off their debt.
