Yesterday's story in case you missed it...

As part of the Welcome 2 Jozi competition, we’ve had stand-up comedian Simmi Aref exploring the city for us, and experiencing all that Joburg has to offer.

Last week Simmi visited the Lion Park near Lanseria.

He talks to John Robbie about his experience at the Lion Park. He says it was wonderful.

It made me feel like a kid again.

If you looking for an African safari experience and don't have time to go to the big national parks, Lion Park is an accessible and affordable alternative. It's less than 50 km from central Johannesburg, near Lanseria and Four Ways.

It's R175 and you can drive your car through the park.

Ashref says the Lion Park has a great shop with unique products.

It doesn't feel like you are in a bad curio shop.
