The Judicial Service Commission has received a formal complaint against Jansen

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) says it has received a formal complaint against Judge Mabel Jansen.

Advocate Dumisa Ntsebeza, JSC spokesperson told Xolani Gwala that Vuyani Ngalwana SC, has filed a complaint IN his personal capacity and as the Chairman of Advocates for Transformation's Johannesburg branch.

"Chief Justice and Judge Jansen have had A conversation, I'm not in a position to say at whose instance that conversation took place,..."

High Court Judge Justice Mabel Jansen is on the spotlight for her Facebook comments claiming rape is part of black culture.

Chief Justice and Judge Jansen have had conversation, I'm not in a position to say at whose instance that conversation took place, but we've been advised as the spokesperson that both of them have agreed on a process to be followed to ask the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services for the Judge to be placed on long leave. I suppose, pending the process that might or might not result in the judiciary conduct tribunal.
