(Also read "Worried about unemployment? South Africa needs (a lot of) artisans!")

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Merseta CEO Dr. Raymond Patel for his weekly "The Science Of" feature.

Merseta stands for “Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Seta”, with “Seta” being short for “Services sector Education and Training Authority”.

Patel spoke about the major developments with regards to Merseta's work on artisanship, especially in the context of the current economic slump.

Dr. Patel is also a member of the Human Resources Development Council headed by the Deputy President.

He shared some of the work emerging out of that council.
