NPO to launch meal app for companies to donate excess food

Founder of 'Feed It Forward' Janesha Govender was inspired to develop her food donation app after realising how much food is wasted by corporate companies, restaurants and major retail chain stores.

The platform, which will launch in June, makes it convenient for businesses to donate their excess perishable food items.

She explains that the application will be a free-to-use on demand service for the collection and delivery of meals.

She says beneficiaries will include charitable organisations, orphanages and other suitable initiatives.
