What in the world happened to free education

The Commission of Inquiry into Higher Education and Training says it's still carrying out its mandate of looking at the feasibility of free education in South Africa.

The Fees Commission was established by President Jacob Zuma following the Fees Must Fall protests across universities.

Spokesperson, Andile Tshona, says the Commission is currently looking at the previous reports and how other countries are implementing free education.

He told Xolani Gwala that all South Africans are invited to make submissions until 31 May 2016.
