An employee of Alteram Solutions called in to 702 to complain about salaries and lack of contracts.
702's John Robbie spoke to CEO of Alteram Solution, Phillip Arnold, regarding the allegations brougt to the show, and explained how the internshp works.

We won a tender in August last year and it became operational on the 6th of October 2015.

We placed an advert on gumtree where we took in a total intake of close to 60 interns. We took them in two batches because we had to train them.

The Department of Water and Sanitation wanted to go live due to the water crisis at the time. We employed 15 full-time call center agents.

The interns start at R4000 a month, we feed them and give then a travel allowance... The salary range for call centre agents is between R5000 a month to R16000, depending on experience.

There will be a disciplinary hearing. We have no issue with him wanting more money but he said the DWS placed an advert which is not true.
