How to become emotionally stable even when faced with pressure or stress?

Why is it important that we remain emotionally stable? Dr Helgo Schomer says emotions are necessary in life, and very powerful.

He says as human beings we need to establish whether our emotion serve the purpose of life. Are they supporting your personality or are they going against you in terms of your aims and goals?

Emotion is necessary. It is a way of seeing life to energize you, caution you, redirect you and shape you.

Dr Schomer highlighted some habits of emotionally stable people and character traits that are worth developing in order to generate calm energy and remain stable in the emotional sense.

Emotionally healthy people have a whole set of behaviours that create, engender, and nurture positive emotions, and keep the bad ones in check.
