How to accept defeat gracefully and with dignity

Dr Helgo Schomer looks at the psychology behind being defeated. He talks about the difference between getting defeated and feeling defeated.

Schomer says the biggest problem is with the attitude of thinking we have to win all the time - where if you beat the competition, you are worth it and if you lose you are worthless.

It's important that people enjoy what they are doing and reach a point where they can compete without feeling the need to put the competitor down.
