Financial and Fiscal Commission has proposed phasing out of some municipalities following the poor performances of various municipalities across the country.
The Auditor General's report highlighted irregular expenditure, unauthorised expenditure and fruitless and wasteful expenditure in various municipalities, with Nelson Mandela Bay, City of Tshwane, Mangaung, and City of Johannesburg on the naughty list.
702's John Robbie spoke to CEO of the Financial and Fiscal Commission, Bongani Khumalo, regarding the recent findings.
