'Empire's' Terrence Howard talks to Anele about his Mandela role

Terrence Howard spoke to our sister station 947’s Anele Mdoda about what playing Nelson Mandela meant to him.

Taraji P Henson and Howard are in Johannesburg to promote _Empire's third _season.

Howard says he's most proud of his role as Nelson Mandela in the movie Winnie.

“You fall in love with each character and you are always thinking about them… that’s the beauty of acting, you build these individual personalities that will drive you mad or one day keep you company.”

The actor admits that his fans often remind him of his character, Quinton, from The Best Man.
