The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield received the following question from a listener:
“I am a 26-year-old resident engineer for a consultancy. Every night I catch The Money Show on my way home. The more I listen the more I find myself drawn to a career in finance.
“It’s fast and fascinating, but I have no clue where to start. I know there was a trend a few years back by Absa Capital to employ engineers, but I am not sure if this trend carries on today.
“Is it possible to make a move with just my engineering qualifications if I get my foot in the door somewhere, or do I need to go and study first?”
Whitfield interviewed Andrew Woodburn, Executive Search Expert and Managing Director at Woodburn Mann.
Woodburn tried to answer the listener’s question.
