NSFAS adopting strong measures to ensure its debtors pay back the money

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has plans set to target companies that employ most of its debtors.

NSFAS Executive Officer, Msulwa Daca, says their new system tells them where those who have not paid their student loans, work.

He says some of them are senior officials in public and private sectors.

In government we have found people are in level 15. Level 15 is almost like the second level of government official in terms of senior they are. And in the private sector some of them are even directors. But we are getting cooperation from the employers.
