It remains unclear whether the bursary allegedly offered to Marius Fransman’s sexual harassment accuser was an act of good will or political meddling.
It's alleged that 21-year-old Louisa Wynand was offered a bursary to the university of her choice after testifying in front of the the ANC's integrity committee.
After Louisa Wynand gave a tearful testimony to the integrity committee, one of the female members sent her an e-mail offering to help her.

EWN's Rahima Essop says the offer could be seen as an effort to coax Wynand into dropping the case against the ANC leader.
At the same time, the overzealous integrity committee member has been quoted as saying the offer was a sincere gesture, although it may have been misconstrued.
Good deed or political interference? Only time will show.

According to Essop, the scandal facing Fransman (and possible prosecution) could affect party leadership ahead of the municipal elections.
