A meeting organised with leaders of the Gauteng ANC and the branch leaders in Tshwane has been cancelled, as unrest continues across the country's capital.
EWN's Clement Manyathela says that no reason has been given for the cause of the cancellation.
Branch leaders are unimpressed, after top ANC leaders assured them that they would meet with all 107 ANC branches in Tshwane, as a matter of urgency.
Tshwane ANC's Executive Committee member Refilwe Makhafola told Manyathela that branch members were sent SMS messages without explanation.
Manyathela reports that residents were looking forward to the outcome of the meeting, which impact on the violent protests.
With the meeting cancelled, it remains to be seen how the community and branch leaders will accept it.— Clement Manyathela, EWN reporter
