Police confirm five deaths linked to #TshwaneUnrest

Two dead bodies have been found in Mabopane, bringing the death toll in the Tshwane unrest to five.

According to EWN reporter, Reinhart Toerien, police confirmed that one of the bodies was found inside the Mabopane shopping centre. The other was discovered at a house nearby which had been looted overnight.

Tshwane has been in the spotlight this week, with community members protesting against the announcement of former Public Works Minister Thoko Didiza, as the ANC's mayoral candidate.

We spoke to residents who are right in the circle of things. There was a lady who was describing to us how she and her children heard bullets and saw teargas, and one man was gunned down just outside her house.
