Jackie Selebi has died, aged 64

Jackie Selebi was at the Pretoria Hospital where he was being treated for end-stage kidney failure.

He was convicted on corruption charges in 2010 and sentenced to 15 years. He was released on medical parole in 2012.

CAPE TOWN - Eyewitness News has learnt that former National Police Commisioner Jackie Selebi has died in hospital in Pretoria this morning. Selebi was admitted to hospital earlier this week. He was 64 years old. His friend, Shabir Shaik says he heard the news this morning.
