The 702 Truck of Love with Spar

Gugs heads to Frida Hartley Shelter with a packed 702 Truck of Love

The Frida Hartley Shelter For Destitute Women & Children plays a crucial role in the local community. It serves women who are penniless and abandoned, some of them pregnant as well as their children. It is also a safehaven for the abused.

The shelter offers long-term accommodation, offers 3 meals, it’s open throughout the year, there is counselling, there is an in-house crèche and there is also training for women on how to get jobs.

Gugu Mhlungu, joined the 702 Truck of Love, filled with wonderful goodies from generous sponsor Spar, and they spent the day at the shelter, spreading love.

Then on NightTalk Gugs and Sizwe chatted to shelter manager Cheryl Hlabane....
