Controversial CT pastor hits back at Rivers Church's Andre Olivier

Embattled Cape Town pastor, Xola Skosana, has responded to the comments made by Pastor André Olivier about black people at Rivers Church on Sunday.

Olivier's sermon has stirred debate on social media, for its alleged offence and racist undertones.

Some congregants expressed shock at a series of comments about white people deserving their wealth because they work for it, with critics saying this suggested black people were lazy or entitled.

Skosana, founder of the Way of Life Church, took to his Facebook page to post a heated response to Olivier.

Skosana himself is no stranger to controversy. In the past, he's been accused of "instigating" the Fees Must Fall movement in the Western Cape.

He's also came under the spotlight for his sermon claiming "Jesus Christ was HIV positive" and has been slammed for his strong views on race and religion.

Olivier has since apologised for what he calls "poor choice of words."
