High walls are no guarentee of home security - study

A recent study from the Durban University of Technology (DUT) has found that high walls don't necessarily guarantee the home security that South Africans are looking for.

South Africa has the highest number of security companies in the world, with customers opting for high technology gadgets as security measures to deter criminals from house break-ins.

702's Azania Mosaka spoke to the university's Head of Urban Futures Centre, Monique Marks, regarding her findings.
