DA: 'I believe Nelson Mandela would vote for the DA if he was still alive'

Democratic Alliance (DA) national spokesperson, Refiloe Ntsekhe, have come out in defence of the DA's advert using Nelson Mandela's voice.

Stephen Grootes, standing in for Xolani Gwala, asked Ntshekhe why the DA is using the name of a man who condemned the DA and died as an ANC member.

Nelson Mandela stood for the vision that we believe in as the DA. We are the only party that can bring it to reality today.

Refiloe Ntsekhe, Democratic Alliance national spokesperson

Nelson Mandela didn't condemn the DA. He basically said, you must remember he was also a politician. But he had a vision for this country. And if you look at non-racialism today, the DA is the only party that believes in non-racialism.
