From their early days of Emlanjeni, to the 2013's Khona and now Colours of Africa, Mafikizolo continues to be one of South Africa's most loved duos.

Here are some quick facts about the duo

  1. The group was founded in 1996 by its members, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza. The third member, Tebogo “Tebza” Madingoane, died in 2004. Tebza was drafted by Oskido to join the duo.

  2. Recently, their work was displayed as part of the ‘African Sounds’ exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

  3. After a three year break from music, the duo released its new “Colours Of Africa” single which features DJ Maphorisa and Diamond Platnumz.

  4. Among their achievements, they have won the South African Music Award for Group or Duo of the Year three times.
