JHB terror suspects, two of whom are brothers, appear in court

Four South African suspects have been arrested by the Hawks for alleged terrorism-related activities in Johannesburg.

It's reported that the suspects were planning to fly to Syria.

Two suspects have appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates' Courts and two others are still due to appear on Monday.

Brothers, Brandon-Lee and Tony-Lee Thulsie, have been charged with three counts of conspiring and attempting to commit acts of terror, reports EWN's Gia Nicolaides.

The charges relate to the contravention of the Protection of Constitutional Democracy against Terrorist and Related Activities Act.

It is suspected that they were a part of a terrorist cell in the country, attempting to bomb the Mission of USA and Jewish institutions in the country.

Nicolaides says the case has been postponed to the 19 July for further investigation.
